In 2015 Eko Aromatik saw the need to plant immortelle in its natural surroundings after the plant was being picked into almost extinction.
On the hilltops above Capljina in Bosnia and Herzegovina in the region of Hercegovina, overlooking the emerald green waters of the Neretva River, the bird sanctuary of Hutovo Blato and the medieval town of Pocitelj, virgin unfarmable land was transformed with great efforts to arable land and we began the task of planting 50 hectares of immortelle plants. We wanted to make sure that our oils were pure, organic and processed efficiently so we built a distillation centre on site and have traceability of every drop of our oil. We have both EU and NOP certification of our products as well as being HACCP certified.
